Helping Marriages Flourish Through Every Season

For more than 55 years, Couple to Couple League has helped couples prepare for one of life’s greatest vocations: marriage. Over those years, we have learned that preparation does not end on the wedding day. Marriage and family life are filled with new seasons, from starting a career and welcoming a first child to watching children grow, becoming grandparents, and planning for the years ahead. Each stage brings new joys, new responsibilities, and new opportunities to care for the people God has entrusted to us.
One of those responsibilities is preparing thoughtfully for the future. Creating a will may be something we tend to put off. It can feel like a task for another season of life. However, a will is about much more than deciding what happens to our possessions. It is an act of love, responsibility, and stewardship.
As Catholics, we spend our lives trying to pass along things that cannot be measured financially. We hope to give our children and grandchildren a love for Christ, an appreciation for marriage and family, generosity toward others, and a sense of responsibility for the blessings God has given us.
Thoughtful planning is one more way to put those values into action. A will allows us to care for our spouse and children, make our wishes clear, and consider the legacy we hope to leave behind. It can also provide an opportunity to think about the people, ministries, and causes that have been meaningful throughout our lives.
Every family leaves a legacy. Taking time to plan helps ensure that the faith, values, and generosity that shaped our lives can continue to bless those who come after us.
A Gift for Every Stage of Family Life
CCL is pleased to partner with MyCatholicWill to offer families a complimentary Catholic Will that can typically be completed in about 20 minutes.
You do not have to wait until later in life to begin planning. In fact, many of life’s biggest transitions are natural times to think about creating or updating a will… a first job, a new marriage, the birth of a child, buying a home, or becoming grandparents.
Each new chapter is a reminder that the people and responsibilities in our lives change over time. For parents and grandparents, this resource can also be something worth sharing with adult children and other family members. We spend years helping our children prepare for school, careers, marriage, and family life. Encouraging them to think about a will can be another practical way to help them approach adulthood with responsibility and intention.
One More Conversation Worth Having
It does not have to be a difficult or uncomfortable subject. Sometimes it can begin with a simple question: “Have you ever thought about creating a will?” That question may open the door to a much bigger conversation about family, faith, stewardship, and what matters most.
At CCL, our mission has always centered on strengthening marriages and families. For more than five decades, we have walked alongside couples as they prepare for marriage, welcome children, and navigate family life. Offering this resource is another way we can help families prepare thoughtfully for the future. Whatever season you are in, this can be a simple place to begin.
Sometimes the greatest gift is not the document itself. It is the conversation it begins and the peace of mind that comes from knowing you have taken another step to care for the people you love. Who in your family is beginning a new chapter?
Consider sharing this resource with them, or take a few minutes to begin your own planning today.
