Celebrate and Re-dedicate

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 800th year of St Francis. It’s also the 55th anniversary of CCL. We have much to be thankful for.

Over the coming months you will see several initiatives marking CCL’s 55th anniversary. A major focus this year will be capturing what you will do to support our mission as we move forward. “What’s Your 55?” is an opportunity for each of us to share with others what we have learned. And share how we have benefitted from NFP in our marriages.

For our volunteer teachers, maybe this is adding one more class series to the year or trying to teach Live Online for the first time (it’s not that hard and it’s satisfying to post an online class and see it fill up within 48hrs) or becoming a mentor for students learning NFP via the video-based class.

Maybe, for other volunteers, it’s introducing CCL to your parish leaders, hosting a Natural Plan evening for a local mother’s or father’s group, or introducing Fertility Science Institute and its product offerings to non-Catholic audiences.

For all of us, remembering CCL and the couples we teach in your prayers is something we can do in support.  Let us know what you have decided to do for ‘your 55’ by logging onto http://ccli.org/ccl55

Remarkable Transitions

The transitions CCL has experienced and often led throughout our history are remarkable. Originally taught face-to-face in small groups in church halls or homes, we now reach the entire world through our online class offerings while maintaining the couple-to-couple experience. While CCL is continuing to be the leading provider of NFP instruction to engaged couples getting married in the church, Fertility Science Institute has opened up the marriage & family-building benefits of NFP to non-Catholics.

CCL leads the way among the NFP teaching organizations as the first to teach online classes and provide non-paper charting options – first as a desktop program and later as a mobile app. Today our PeakDay app has over 300,000 downloads and our YouTube videos have over 11.5 million views. But this is just the beginning. There are millions of couples who can benefit from learning and embracing NFP that need to be reached!

So, let’s take a moment to celebrate what CCL has accomplished to date but, more importantly, let us all re-dedicate ourselves to making the CCL mission known to many more over the coming year.

Why is NFP so important? Take the Natural Plan course for a quick intro. Learn Natural Family Planning – as an engaged couple or as a married couple.
