PeakDay on the Catholic Airwaves

The Couple to Couple League’s Executive Director, Katie Zulanas, has been a sought-after guest on Catholic radio in recent weeks. She is bringing the message of faith-based fertility education and a totally Catholic fertility tracking app to listeners across the country.
The Catholic Morning Show
On The Catholic Morning Show, Katie explained how the PeakDay app helps couples understand fertility through Natural Family Planning using the Sympto-Thermal Method. She shared how this approach strengthens marriage while remaining faithful to Catholic teaching. By combining careful charting of temperatures and symptoms with sound science, PeakDay serves couples who want a scientifically grounded, authentically Catholic approach to fertility awareness.
Mast Appeal
Katie was also featured on Mast Appeal with Colleen Kelly Mast. Speaking with Colleen, she addressed the growing number of secular tracking apps and the concerns many parents and young women have about privacy and data security. While many apps attempt to predict ovulation, Katie emphasized that true knowledge comes from understanding one’s own typical cycle and fertility signs. With PeakDay, charts can be shared with a knowledgeable medical professional. The app can be viewed by both husband and wife, fostering unity and shared responsibility. She also discussed how the app syncs with wearable devices such as Fitbit, Oura, and Apple Watch. This is making temperature tracking simple for young women and busy mothers alike. Katie highlighted CCL’s broader mission, including the Fertility Science Institute and its directory of Catholic providers.
Wake Up!
On the Wake Up! show on Catholic Community Radio WQNO in Louisiana, host Gaby Smith reflected on the availability of tracking on the PeakDay app. She said “I wish I had this when I was getting married. It would have relieved a lot of anxiety,” and noted how empowering it is when husbands are involved. Katie described the app’s community forum, where trained coaches and certified teachers answer questions. She also encouraged listeners to become volunteer teaching couples.
Driving Home the Faith
In Cincinnati on Driving Home the Faith, Dr. Ken Craycraft and Katie discussed achieving and postponing pregnancy through Natural Family Planning. Dr. Craycraft noted that CCL has been at the forefront of Catholic NFP education since 1971. Katie stressed that each woman should be the authority on her own fertility. She can utilize her knowledge alongside the Sympto-Thermal algorithm and the app rather than relying blindly on technology alone.
Catholic Connection
Finally, on Catholic Connection, Teresa Tomeo and Katie examined the cultural impact of fertility apps. Katie addressed concerns that some secular tracking platforms promote hormonal birth control or even refer for abortion. In contrast, using PeakDay and charting cycles lays the foundation for restorative reproductive medicine that seeks root causes for fertility issues. Teresa affirmed the importance of a truly Catholic fertility app, adding, “Knowledge is power.”
As more women turn to cycle tracking, Katie’s media appearances make one thing clear: the Church has long championed authentic, natural fertility education. Now, through tools like PeakDay, that wisdom is meeting the digital age with clarity and confidence.
Katie was also featured on other programs like CFN Live with Colleen McVey and The Katie McGrady Show.
