MyParishNFP.org: A Trusted Resource for Parishes and Clergy

Why should parishes actively promote Natural Family Planning today?

The call to promote Natural Family Planning (NFP) is not new. In Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul VI urged bishops and pastors to make the holiness of marriage and responsible parenthood “one of your most urgent responsibilities at the present time” (HV, 30). Parishes are often the first—and sometimes only—place couples encounter Church teaching on marriage and fertility. When parishes lead with clarity and confidence, couples are better equipped to live married love fully and faithfully.

Is NFP still relevant in a modern, tech-driven world?

Absolutely. Fertility awareness is experiencing a cultural resurgence, with the FemTech market projected to reach $50 billion. Couples are actively seeking science-backed, natural approaches to understanding fertility. NFP is not a relic of the past; it is a time-tested, effective, and life-affirming approach that aligns with both modern science and Catholic teaching.

How does Couple to Couple League (CCL) support parishes through this site?

Through MyParishNFP.org, parishes can access free and downloadable resources for bulletins, websites, PreCana, and engagement programs. These include flyers, brochures, infographics, videos, and the popular NFP Road Map Kit for Couples. CCL also supports parishes with ministry liaisons, coaching teams, introductory workshops, and full NFP certificate courses in English and Spanish.

Do clergy or parishioners need special training to help?

No special background is required—only a desire to share the good news of NFP. Teacher training is available in English and Spanish and equips everyday couples to serve as confident advocates within their parish communities.
