Charting: The First Step Toward Restoring Women’s Health

Every woman’s body tells a story—day by day, cycle by cycle. But too often, those stories are overlooked, silenced by quick fixes, or drowned out by medical systems that treat symptoms instead of asking why. Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) is changing that. By focusing on root causes and restoring the body’s natural design, RRM is helping women reclaim both their health and their fertility. And at the foundation of it all is something wonderfully simple: charting the cycle.
Start to Chart
That’s exactly where CCL’s new Start to Chart video series begins. In four short lessons, women learn how to recognize the signs their bodies give them every day. They learn what cervical mucus means, how hormones show up in patterns, and how to identify fertile and infertile days. This knowledge isn’t just information—it’s power. It’s the foundation doctors and medical providers like Holly Smith, Nicole Snyder, Megan Blum, and Trish Rawicki use to uncover deeper health issues and guide women back to wholeness.
Dr. Holly Smith has seen how transformative it can be when a woman starts keeping track of her cycle. “Having women track those general symptoms says a lot about their hormones,” she explains. With those simple observations in hand, she can begin to untangle the underlying problems. Problems that may be standing in the way of pregnancy. For her, charting opens the door to restoring health.
Making Truth Visable
Nicole Snyder, a nurse practitioner, knows women are “hungry to actually be well and not just managed.” For her patients, charting becomes a way to slow down and listen to their bodies, something short, rushed appointments rarely allow. In Start to Chart, women are taught exactly how to do this—how to observe, record, and reflect on the signs of fertility God designed into their bodies. Nicole reminds her patients, “Everything about her is on purpose, including her fertility.” Charting makes that truth visible.
For physician assistant Megan Blum, a woman’s charts are often the roadmap to discovery. She recalls how many women come in anxious, especially those with conditions like PCOS that make ovulation irregular. Charting not only helps them identify their fertile window but also gives Megan a clear view of hormone imbalances that need attention. “When we are able to find a root cause, we are better able to bring health to Mom, but also to her baby and any future babies,” she says. That ripple effect—healthy mothers, healthy children, healthier generations—often begins with the humble act of opening a chart.
Dr. Trish Rawicki, OB-Gyn, has seen many women who were told their only option was IVF, only to discover that no one had ever investigated the real causes of their infertility. “Infertility is a symptom, not a diagnosis,” she insists. Through RRM, she works to uncover those causes and restore health. Charting is what gives her the clues—patterns of mucus, shifts in cycle length, symptoms that point to deeper imbalances. With that information, she and her patients can pursue healing that respects both the woman’s health and the dignity of new life.
Charting Matters
This is why charting matters. It’s not just about timing pregnancy—it’s about unlocking a woman’s unique story and giving her the tools to advocate for her health. The Start to Chart series was created to make that first step simple, practical, and approachable. In just four videos, you’ll learn how to read your body’s daily signs and begin charting with confidence.
RRM physicians are showing that when women chart, real healing can happen. And it all starts with picking up a pen—or an app—and beginning your chart.
