From Promoters to Teaching Couple

My husband Tom and I recently advanced in our CCL training—from being Promoters to becoming a Certified Teaching Couple. What a great decision! We have been happily surprised by how much fun we are having teaching and how enjoyable it is to work with our student couples. Everyone has their own style, but Tom’s “Dad” jokes keep our couples laughing while I keep the online class moving along challenging the couples to Chat their answers at a good pace.
Insights
We are meeting couples who are actively engaged and interested. They often express their thanks to us for taking the time to explain their shared gift of fertility. Tom always asks each of the couples: “What did you learn or what surprised you today in our class?” This “mini-survey” has given us some good insights. We see how our couples are learning. It has been fun to see how – even online – couples speak together about what they learned. You can see how they appreciate having other couples learning along with them.
It turns out that the “paper” exercises in the new workbook are a great compliment to the PeakDay app. We are still learning how to invite couples to have us review their charts in the app. Being able to do these PeakDay reviews in the browser is an efficient way to write some thoughtful notes which “pop-up” as students log into the app (and are also emailed). These quick reviews can help couples get past misunderstandings that might not be brought to light otherwise.
Get Involved!
It is certainly an amazing time at CCL! We thank our wonderful teaching couples, promoters and donors! This year we will be offering additional opportunities to get involved—from becoming mentor couples to opportunities to offer workshops. Please, join us! We can see the growing interest in learning about a natural approach to fertility everywhere we turn.
This Sunday, we heard in Acts 12:6, “Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.” I was reflecting that Peter continued to write from within prison—despite his chains. This reminded me that I wanted to share news from our great marketing team. We have been able to get 3.8 million views of our videos and 100K downloads of the PeakDay app. This is despite being continually canceled (chained) by all the social media outlets. It is truly a lesson in perseverance. The Lord has won the victory and even chains will not hold back the Truth!
Viva Cristo Rey!
