Create Hope-5 Easy Ways to Share NFP

“Pursue a lasting love…Marriage. Create Hope for the Future!” That is the theme for this year’s National NFP Week, July 20 – 26. Have you wondered, as someone who practices NFP and sees the fruits and benefits every day, how you can educate, inform, promote and support this week of awareness? CCL has you covered! Wherever you are and whatever your situation, you can offer married couples this hope by implementing these 5 creative ways to share natural family planning.

#1 Share NFP Videos

You know how they say a picture speaks louder than words? Well, videos even more! Sharing videos is so simple – just visit the CCL Youtube channel and click on one of the new playlists that showcases CCL Classes and Programs or explains the basics of natural family planning with the Getting Started with NFP series. If you want a deeper dive into stories from couples who practice NFP, the PeakDay Podcast has over 100 episodes with stories from real couples. You can share these videos with family, friends, students or talk to your parish or diocese to see about adding them to the websites for couples. Many parishes have newsletters they send out via email and you could ask your pastor to include a video during NFP week. These short videos can be an easy and interesting way for parishioners to share NFP with families and friends.

#2 FREE DIGITAL ADS and FLYERS

Are you looking for flyers, bulletin ads or posters to download and use in emails, websites or print at home to raise awareness about NFP? CCL has done the hard work for you! Find images & text to use for NFP info ads and website or bulletin banners. These are professionally created and ready for downloading. MyParishNFP has a tab for Parishes with these resources plus many more – all are FREE!

#3 ORDER PRINTED MATERIALS FOR YOUR PARISH or EVENT

The CCL store has new modern & colorful NFP resources and materials available to promote NFP programs and classes. Make sure and order to receive them in time! We have new brochures, postcards and infographics to purchase in bulk. Our newest additions are 20 “pew cards” (bookmark size) to place in the pews or have a at a table in your parish. These small cards mention every CCL program – from our podcasts, to the PeakDay app and all of the CCL classes in both English and Spanish.

#4 GIVE YOUR NFP TESTIMONY

Your witness to practicing NFP and the benefits and blessings you have experienced in your marriage is powerful. Be bold and testify to the truth & beauty of the church’s teaching to others by offering to speak before mass, at your parish retreat or within RCIA/OCIA. #5 OFFER AN NFP INTRO CLASS AT YOUR PARISH

If you use NFP within your marriage, you can facilitate an intro to NFP course! Natural Plan is CCL’s new intro program is perfect for adult faith formation or group study. So many married couples are unaware of the effectiveness of NFP (and the dangers to health & soul of contraceptives!). This is your chance to raise awareness. Natural Plan can be offered in a variety of modes to fit your parish needs. Couples can purchase the program individually or the parish can offer Natural Plan in a group setting.

#6 NEW NFP CLASS FOR MARRIED COUPLEs

Newly Released, the PeakDay Method class, is a culmination of CCL’s 50 years of experience teaching NFP to engaged couples. Over the years, we have couples come to us after the wedding, who want to learn NFP or change methods or simply get a refresher. This class is a 2-hour, online program that teaches the highly effective and all-natural sympto-thermal method on both paper chart and in the PeakDay cycle tracking app. Married couples can learn conveniently by watching video-based modules with their PeakDay Method Couple’s Guide in hand. The course comes with an assigned mentor instructor for free fertility coaching. This class works for RCIA and Adult Faith formation too.
