Fertility Awareness for the Next Generation

What happens when you have a room full of 40+ college students learning about fertility awareness? Or a group of young women traveling through Lent as companions on their own fertility and health journeys? Hope is restored for the next generation! I recently had the privilege of presenting PeakDay Young Adult and Natural Plan programs to students at the University of Dallas. I also followed up with two UD women who lead a Revelation90 Lenten program and got their feedback – which was phenomenal!

PeakDay Young Adult & Natural Plan

The first evening, young women gathered to learn more about cycle tracking with our PeakDay Young Adult program and the benefits of natural fertility awareness. They were eager to learn, and grateful to have this new information to put into practice. The second evening, over 40 young men and women attended. They learned the benefits of NFP with Natural Plan for their own health and their future relationships.

What a joy! One of my favorite moments? A table of very single young men were startled to learn they may have to perfect their card game skills during fertile times of postponing pregnancy. Who would have guessed?!

Many young couples appreciated the overview of the different methods of NFP and the benefits this could have in marriage. Overwhelmingly, they enjoyed the candid conversations of the Natural Plan Men’s and Women’s Roundtable modules. There were many insightful questions; I was so impressed with this group!

Rev90

Two young UD women in particular had been working with CCL ahead of my visit. They established a cohort for Revelation90, our Lenten program. One of the leaders, Nina, expressed her excitement to bring the Rev90 program to her campus. “I love that the program is holistically and scientifically developed to educate women about their very own body! Additionally, the spiritual component to remind us that our bodies are a gift from God and should be treated as a Temple of the Holy Spirit is amazing!” Over a dozen young women met weekly on campus throughout Lent to go through the Revelation90 program together. They truly enjoyed the experience.

Our hope is that this model of FABM education followed by experience in action, will continue to spread throughout college campuses across the US. We’re so grateful for the support of our benefactors, which enables us to offer these free workshops for our classes and low student rates for Revelation90.
