Lenten Stations to Begin Again

We find ourselves in Lent once more. It is a time to pause and to begin again. Saint Francis de Sales once said: “It is right that you should begin again every day. There is no better way to complete the spiritual life than to be ever beginning it over again.” His wise words provide us food for thought and prayer during Lent as we strive to follow God’s will.
A few years ago our CCL staff composed a Lenten Stations of the Cross. It was inspired by thoughts from the saints, like Francis. We share these below and hope their words at each station help you on your prayerful Lenten journey to Easter.
This makes good sense as we at CCL recommit ourselves to renewing and expanding teaching couple to couple. We are also keeping our commitment to supporting couples through a lifetime of fertility and our evangelistic outreach during Lent.
“One cannot love without suffering or suffer without loving.”

So, let’s start with profound gratitude for the gift of Humanae Vitae and its teaching and the beautiful work of our CCL family of volunteers. We are grateful for all of our teaching couples and promoters, board members and staff members.

Then let us ask God for the gift of wisdom as we “begin again” this Lent. Asking for forgiveness for any misunderstandings and for detachment from any one system of ideas of how to do things.
Join us in asking the Holy Spirit to let us rededicate ourselves to sharing the gift of Humanae Vitae — to turn our imaginations over to God’s will to allow him to renew the face of the earth this Lent.
