Life Has Won

Beautiful young parents holding a newborn baby at home.

As I write this, I see the proclamation “Life has won!” and there is cause to rejoice with the overturning of Roe v Wade, and in my mind some acknowledgement can be made to the steadfast work of the members of the Couple to Couple League. Despite seemingly overwhelming odds, we have all worked together– giving of our time and talent, prayers and financial support to keep sharing the gift of Humanae Vitae—NFP. Fifty years of witness by CCL members has made a difference in supporting the pro-life message! But the battle is not over.

I am watching the protests by young women, and I find myself thinking that CCL has a larger vision for women, “for you were called for freedom.” (Gal 5:13)   True freedom that we can support by educating women and men in the beauty and dignity of their sexuality. We continue to encourage each other as we all strive to live a life of heroic love and a life of service to one another.

Our CCL family is built from that service.  Thousands of couples have donated their time, talent, treasure, and prayer to be apostles to other couples and in doing so have become apostles to the world.  A world which longs for the gift of Humanae Vitae!

As we take a moment to be encouraged and strengthened by the recent victory, take a deep breath before the next battle. I implore you to ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you might be called to in this next stage of CCL’s mission.

Are you called to teach? Mentor couples? Review charts on the new app? Witness to daughters or sons? At pregnancy centers? The list goes on, but we will be reaching out to ask your assistance through this next year—inviting you to continue our great tradition of service and sacrifice!

Let’s face this new stage in history together!
