CANFP Convention Attracts 500+ People

“Faithful to God’s Design,” which consisted of several separate events from July 25-28, took place in Ontario, CA, just outside of Los Angeles. The main convention, July 27-28, turned out well with an attendance of more than 500 individuals, couples, priests, DREs and more. Based on an unofficial poll of hands during a keynote, well over half of the attendees live somewhere within the state. The schedule was packed and engaging, featuring excellent talks from the likes of Dr. Janet E. Smith, George Weigel, Christopher West, Patrick Coffin and Dr. Ray Guarendi.

CCL attended, hosting a booth to promote classes and resources, but especially to spread the word about the new strategic plan and the much-anticipated Live the Love Institute. Reactions were positive, and it’s clear that excitement is building among NFP users at the prospect of united providers and a plan to support all users, regardless of method.

Due to an intense heatwave and haze from this summer’s many wildfires, most breaks were spent indoors, creating ample opportunity for CCL volunteers and Central staff to meet students on their home turf.

Special thanks to volunteers Greg & Peggy Leger and Greg & Beth Gath for their help registering, setting up, manning, and tearing down the booth we shared. Thank you for the kind hearts and smiling faces that students, couples, and community members encounter in you! We’re blessed to have the gift of your time and energy.
