It’s October, which means moms everywhere are prepping costumes for their little ones (or just ordering outfits online). Whether your family does Halloween trick-or-treating or prefers the All Saints Day festivities, here are 10 brilliant home-made costumes for your saints-in-the-making.

Why Remember the Saints?

Kendra Tierney, Catholic All Year blogger and proponent of living the Liturgical Calendar with our children, reminds us, “On Halloween, we think of the Church Militant: all of us here on earth, struggling against temptation and our fallen natures, loving God and our neighbor, and hoping, through God’s grace, to one day die a happy death and be welcomed into heaven. On All Saint’s Day we focus on the Church Triumphant: all the saints who have died and are in heaven, beholding the face of Our Lord, and inspiring us and interceding for us.”
