The human body is indeed “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). As the expression of the human person, the human body is an integral part of the dignity and value that each human person has. And of all the systems of the human body, only the sexual powers are given to us by God to express the most intimate, natural act of love possible. Designed perfectly to produce, nurture and protect the reproductive cells, the reproductive systems in both the male and female are true marvels. In particular, it is the design of the female body that, through its study, makes possible the ability to space children naturally through NFP.
