CCL Central
The headquarters of the Couple to Couple League Internationalcommonly referred to as “CCL Central”is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In the early years when the League was just getting started, it was operated out of the home of its founders. After a short time, the office moved to a rented house zoned for commercial use, and then to the basement of a Knights of Columbus building. In 1995 the League took a big step and purchased its own building located at 4290 Delhi Pike in Cincinnati. The next year, a very successful capital fund raising campaign was held, and due to the generosity of our members, the mortgage was paid in full.
The staff has grown to now include 24 employees16 full-time and 8 part-time. The Central office is divided into two primary branches: Program Operations and Business Operations.
Program Operations:
Staff members assigned to Program Operations are responsible for the development, oversight, and execution of the League’s ongoing programs, products, and services.
National and International Development. The Director of National and International Development and his assistant support our cadre of volunteers both here in the United States and throughout the world. They are our volunteers’ first point of contact when they need help from the Central Office. These staff members also coordinate the organization’s seminars to include Clergy Seminars, Physicians Seminars, and the League’s biennial Convention. [PHOTO: RICH BRAUN AND ROSEMARY OLDING]
Project Management. CCL has set an aggressive goal to update all of its primary products, services, and teaching method over the next two years. For that interim timeframe, we have reduced our developmental efforts and redirected them toward project management. Although several staff members have some projects that they manage, we redirected two staff members to become full-time project managers to help us achieve our goals. The Publications Department also oversees the League’s website. [PHOTO: SCOTT HOFMANN AND ANN GUNDLACH]
Education Department. The Director and his full-time Counselor also author articles for our periodicals and provide counseling services for our members when a teaching couple is unavailable or needs assistance. Spanish Development. As the Spanish speaking population continues to grow in the United States, the League needs to remain abreast of the unique challenges of teaching and promoting NFP to those that do not speak English. The Director of Spanish Development is responsible for managing and directing Spanish language services, support, and outreach resources for the League. He is also the staff’s designated representative in areas where a Spanish speaker is needed. [PHOTO: ERICK CARRERO]
Business Operations:
Led by the Director of Business Operations, staff members assigned to this branch provide all the supportive functions for Program Operations, such as, budgeting, inventory control and shipment, information management, and the like.
Fiscal. The Fiscal Department has a full-time bookkeeper that maintains the organization’s financial records and prepares several financial statements. She balances the League’s bank accounts, manages employee payroll and leave, and prepares a myriad of analytical reports. Also in the fiscal department is a part-time Purchasing Agent. This individual places and tracks all orders for inventory, office supplies, and office equipment, as well as maintains all computer records of purchase orders and vendor records.
